The Truth Social search screen is one of the most helpful components of the app. It allows you to search for other users using their handle or name. It also allows you to search for hashtags that you might be interested in. This can be very helpful when you are trying to find people you know or when you want to explore specific content areas.
PROFILES Tab: When you tap on the Profiles link at the top of this screen, it will show you a list of suggested profiles. If you know the handle of the person you are looking for, simply type it into the top bar where it says Search Truths… While it might seem normal to start with the @ (since all handles start with an @), you should not include it. If you are searching for @TSTips, you would just enter TSTips. If you don’t know the handle, you can just type in the person’s name. As you start typing Truth Social Tips the list will give you suggestions of who you might be looking for, and it will give you a list of people who have that name.
HASHTAGS Tab: When you tap on the Hashtags link at the top of the screen, it will show you a list of suggested hashtags. Simply start typing the hashtag that you are looking for. The system will give you a list of suggestions as you type, along with the number of people discussing that topic that day. This is a good way to explore the different content areas that people are talking about. One of the most enjoyable hashtags to explore is #MakeSocialMediaFunAgain.
TRUTHS Tab: When you tap on the Truths link at the top of the page, it will show you a list of suggested Truths to explore. However, this feature does not appear to be fully developed at this point. When I try to search for specific words, the system says that there are “No matching Truths”. I am sure that this function will be online soon. I will update this article when that is done.
Be sure to click on the search icon at the bottom of your screen to use this function often. This Truth Social search function will help you get much more enjoyment out of the app.
