Truth Social conductors spend a lot of time, energy and effort building trains. Trains are a tool that many brought over from Twitter to grow their number of followers. Some hate them, others love them. Just know that you should never copy and paste them!
If you want to build trains and be a conductor, there are some things you need to understand. The most important to understand is that trains can consume you. At one point I was building over 20 a day, and didn’t have time to do anything else. But, if you are willing to put in the time and effort, it can be very enjoyable. Just be careful to make sure you take time to do the other things you need to do like create new content and ReTruth important things that your followers need to see.
The first thing to do in creating a train is build what we call a header. This is where you put your hashtag (so it is easy to find all your trains at once) and the instructions for those who use the train. Look at the top part of the trains you are seeing now to get some ideas about what you might want in yours. It might look like this:
❤️Follow all Riders❤️
💬Comment your @ and IFBAP (if you follow back) to ride💬
and on and on…
Then simply find the people you want to put on the train and add their handles where it says @FirstRider, @SecondRider etc. List as many handles as you can until you run out of characters. And keep in mind that it is easier for your users to follow if each handle goes on it’s own line. Most conductors reserve a number of spots at the top of their trains for their friends and fellow conductors. This helps the other conductors get exposure and also helps them get better distribution of their train when those large accounts ReTruth the train. Whether you choose to do that or not is up to you.
I have found it much easier to format things and add users on my computer instead of trying to type and format everything on my phone. So consider building your train in WordPad or some other word processing software, then copy and paste your train and email it to your phone so you can easily copy and paste it into a new truth. Getting the hang of it and making it look professional takes some trial and error. So be patient with yourself and keep trying until you get it to look just like you want it.
Once you have your train ready to go, consider adding a meme that will catch people’s attention. Then hit the Truth button. It’s done!
After your train has been out there for a while, go back to it and start going through the comments. You should vet those who requested a ride by visiting their profile to make sure that they aren’t trolls, have some relevant content and have a good follower to following ratio. Then go back to the tool you used to build the first train and simply replace the existing riders with the handles of the new ones you have vetted. When you first start, you might not have enough requests to fill up an entire train. If that is the case, just look at the list of people following you and add them in there to fill it up.
Now that you know how hard it is to build a train, you will understand why copying and pasting them as you own is frowned upon. Building trains and being a conductor is very hard work, and is NOT for everyone. But if it is a path that you choose to take, we are here to support you any way we can!
