Hashtags

Hashtags are like a GPS tracker on your Truth Social message. They make it easy to group your message with others with similar content. They can also be used just to make it easier to find your own Truths.

Hashtags can be interesting and fun to use.

To build a hashtag, you start with a # (us old people call them pound signs) and add words, numbers or letters after it. Make it one big word with no spaces in it. An example would be #MakeAmericaGreatAgain. Then the server can easily call up every single message out there with #MakeAmericaGreatAgain in it, and bring them all together in one place.

To use a Truth Social hashtag in your Truth, simply include the hashtag you want to use in the Truth. For example, you could write “I want to find ways to make our country better. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain”.

Then in the app, you can tap search at the bottom, then Hashtags at the top right of the screen, and type MAGA. The search will give you a list of all the messages that contain that hashtag.

My favorite hashtag is #WhyimHere. This is a collection of Truths written by people explaining why they are on Truth Social. So when you are looking for people with interests that are similar to yours, just search for WhyimHere and check it out!
